The Norfolk police and media keep getting better. Last night, one of the friends of Eric's friend had his mugshot on the local evening news in conjunction with the stabbing case. This friend had been charged with "public drunkenness" and made the news because he is the son of city council woman/Norfolk judge. The report from the news station is here.
Yet again, the police succeed in screwing things up. The police spokesperson continues to tell the media that the injuries were not life threatening, that Eric's friend drove himself to the hospital, and that the altercation was only a bar fight...all false. Because the police keep getting it wrong, the media is misrepresenting the situation to the public...vilifying Eric's friend & co. while glossing over the major crime committed.
