Hi peeps,
So, I found out today that I didn't make it to the next round of the BJITW. With 20,000 videos, I knew I didn't have much of a chance, but I can't pretend it wasn't still a little bummer when I found out. However, it's still been a SUPER cool experience, and it's given me lots of ideas about what I really want to do with my life...as opposed to the cubicle drudgery that I'm doing these days (hate to say it, but being a biologist in my industry isn't all it's cracked up to be). My lofty aspirations involve some amorphous job fusing "No Reservations" and "Planet Earth" with a sprinkle of Grist.org...now to figure out how to get there...
Thanks everyone SO MUCH for all their support and encouragement. Your kind words meant a lot, and I really can't fully express my gratitude. I have amazing friends :)
